During the Y2K transition period, the Agency's Emergency Response Centre will be in an increased state of readiness to assist national authorities in IAEA Member States in monitoring the safety of nuclear and radiation-related facilities. National contact points are being requested to notify the IAEA of any incident of radiological significance, whether Y2K-related or not, that may occur at such facilities during that time.
