Technical Cooperation Project INT/2/017:
"Capacity building in long-range strategic nuclear energy planning for global sustainability."
INPRO Dialogue Forum on Nuclear Energy Innovations:
Drivers and Impediments for Regional Cooperation on the
Way to Sustainable Nuclear Energy Systems
30 July –3 August 2012
IAEA, Vienna, Austria
The INPRO Dialogue Forum brings together nuclear technology users, holders and other stakeholders from interested Member States to discuss issues related to sustainable nuclear energy development and deployment.
The purpose of this workshop – the fourth in the series of the INPRO Dialogue Forum – is to exchange views on the benefits and issues associated with regional cooperation in building sustainable nuclear energy systems; and specifically, to understand the standpoints of nuclear technology user countries and supplier countries regarding the driving forces and the impediments for such cooperation.
This workshop is conducted in cooperation with other IAEA programmes, including the Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Group (INIG), the Nuclear Power Engineering Section (NPES), the Planning and Economic Studies Section (PESS), the Division of Nuclear Fuel Cycle and Waste Technology (NEFW), the Departments of Nuclear Safety and Security, the Department of Safeguards and is an activity in the IAEA TC Project INT/2/017: "Capacity building in long-range strategic nuclear energy planning for global sustainability."
