In Monaco, Massoud Samiei, Director, IAEA Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy (PACT), graciously accepted a donation of #8364;175 000 to fund the Agency's work to assist Niger in establishing a national cancer control programme. Since 2008, Monaco has been an energetic supporter of the IAEA Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy (PACT), committing #8364;50 000 each year to fund training and education for cancer control across French-speaking Africa. The Niger donation will be used to support expert missions and human resource training. The projects will center upon the establishment of the National Radiotherapy Centre in Niger's capital, Niamey.
