Registration is open as of 1 August 2014 for designated representatives from IAEA Member States and invited non-Member States and organizations.

Scientific Forum at General Conference


A Scientific Forum will be held in conjunction with the 58th General Conference - entitled Radioactive Waste: Meeting the Challenge - Science and Technology for Safe and Sustainable Solutions - in Board Room D, C-Building, 4th Floor, in the Vienna Internatonal Centre (VIC), the site of the General Conference, and will focus on radioactive waste and the science and technology available for its safe management. Senior Regulators' Meeting


The Senior Regulators' Meeting will be held on 25 September 2014 in Meeting Room C3, C-Building, 7th floor, in the Vienna International Centre. Session I this year is on the role of the regulatory body in strengthening the implementation of defence in depth and Session II will cover regulatory needs and challenges in nuclear security. In addition, there will be a special Session III celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Senior Regulators' Meeting, looking back at topics covered over the last three decades.

International Nuclear Safety Group (INSAG) Forum


The International Nuclear Safety Group (INSAG) - entitled Strengthening Nuclear Safety: The Way Forward - will hold its annual forum on Monday, 22 September 2014, on the opening day of the General Conference.

Exhibitions


Member States and organizations wishing to take part in the exhibition to be set up as a side event to the 2014 General Conference, are kindly invited to submit their requests for space, together with the title and a short description of the concept and content of their planned exhibition, to the Infrastructure Committee as soon as possible. The deadline for submissions is 13 June 2014.

In planning their exhibition, Member States are kindly reminded that they should adhere to the Guidelines for Exhibitions in the Vienna International Centre (VIC), distributed to Permanent Missions on 29 April 2013.

It should be noted that the specific location of each Member State's exhibition shall be assigned by the Agency on a rotational basis, as per the usual practice. Therefore, no specific spot can be automatically reserved by the same Member State every year.

Live Video Streaming at General Conference


Sessions at the Plenary Hall, including the opening statements of officials and delegates, will be streamed live during the whole week of the General Conference. Sessions of the Scientific Forum will also be live-streamed beginning on Tuesday, 23 September 2014. Links to the video streaming service will be provided on the opening day.
