Permanent Representative of Mongolia
Mr. Jargalsaikhany Enkhsaikhan is Mongolia's Ambassador and Resident Representative to the IAEA and UN organisations in Vienna, Austria.
Mr. Enkhsaikhan has served in a number of senior diplomatic positions for Mongolia's foreign service. He was Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations (1996-2003); Minister-Counsellor in the Mongolian Embassy in the USSR/Russian Federation (1988-1992); and Secretary at the Permanent Mission of Mongolia to the UN (1974-1986).
In addition to service overseas, Mr. Enkhsaikhan has held roles in a number of divisions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia (2007 –2008); Executive Secretary of the National Security Council of Mongolia (1993-1996); Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of Mongolia (1992-1993); Legal Advisor to the President of Mongolia (1992-1993); Legal Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia (1974-1986).
He has represented Mongolia at many international fora, and is the coordinator of the policy which aims to turn the country's territory into a single-State nuclear-weapon-free zone.
