Attached is a communication received from the Permanent Mission of Qatar, requesting circulation to all Member States of the Agency of the Permanent Mission's letter to the Agency dated 18 May 1998.
TEXT OF COMMUNICATION OF 26 AUGUST 1998 FROM THE ALTERNATE TO THE RESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE OF QATAR TO THE INTERNATIONAL ATOMIC ENERGY AGENCY
"With reference to our letter to you of 18 May 1998 (of which a copy is attached) informing you of the endorsement by the Member States of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) of the request to include an item entitled 'Israeli nuclear capabilities and Israeli nuclear threat' in the agenda of the forty-second session of the General Conference, I should like to request you to circulate the letter to all Member States of the Agency."

COMMUNICATION OF 18 MAY 1998 FROM THE ALTERNATE TO THE RESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE OF QATAR TO THE INTERNATIONAL ATOMIC ENERGY AGENCY
"I have pleasure in informing you that the Member States of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in Vienna decided at their last meeting to support the request submitted by the Arab Group to include an item entitled Israeli nuclear capabilities and threat in the agenda of the forty-second session of the Agency's General Conference to be held from 21 to 25 September 1998.
As the State of Qatar is the current Chairman of the Conference of Foreign Ministers of the OIC, which met in Doha from 15 to 17 March 1998, I should be grateful if you could include the above-mentioned item in the agenda of the forty-second session of the Agency's General Conference.
