15 May 2008 | IAEA Director General Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei has recently participated in what one group of middle school students in the United States hopes will set the record for the world´s largest book.

Entitled Big Book: Pages for Peace, the Groton, Massachusetts class is compiling hundreds of people´s personal reflections on world peace from around the world.

The project began in 2003 and has received over 700 submissions from leaders and luminaries such as Nelson Mandela, Jimmy Carter, Maya Angelou, Oprah Winfrey and the Dalai Lama. When completed, the book will measure 12 feet tall, 10 feet wide and weigh more than 600 pounds.
